ST. JOHN'S, N.L. - When John Crosbie was an 18-year-old student in Ontario, his aversion to Confederation was so strong that he would deliver a "poke in the chops" to classmates who teased him with the nickname "Canada Crosbie."

I'm glad the Newfs joined Canada too. Great bunch of people, and bring even more diversity to the table.

Great culture, great talent, great musicians, and great drinking buddies.
