Memorial to fallen Canadians an 'oasis of peace'

KANDAHAR, Afghanistan -- Like much of the base, the monument behind a two-storey building at Kandahar Airfield is in a no-salute zone -- but soldiers invariably salute when they pass by.

One day, i hope to ba able to visit this memorial as well, to pay respects to the fallen.
