Every athletic discipline has its own challenges, and every athlete finds their own way to overcome them. To run a little faster, to lift a bit heavier, to jump slightly higher, athletes, both men and women, consistently find ways to improve on their own

Might help a little if you could read or comprehend the WHOLE story....

"My IRONMAN competition was fifteen years ago. We were only four females out of 114 participants at the start, and I'm the only one who actually finished the competition, 36th overall.

lol i stand corrected. good for her for coming in 3rd overall on an army base ironman and 1st in an event, even though she was the only one in that womens class for the event

My bad i thought this was the actual Ironman not some in house army base one. Makes it less impressive now, still impresive though

Oh so its not the "actual" ironman. have you seen what they do in this one or did you miss that point of the article too? Go do it and then come talk.

Yep read it and i know exactly what they do. Didnt even say I could do it either. Just said its not as impressive as if she had won the actual iron man like Chrissie Wellington two times in a row or Natascha Badmann who has won 3 in a row and six total.

Oh and the class that she came in first at had no other women in it what other place could she have come?

That goes to show that she is in far superior shape than any other woman there, because they didnt even try it. And not to mention the fact that she came in third overall which is impressive on its own.

Good for her. She took the challenge and finished well.

Eisensapper: Damn, Wayne Ford is looking old. You should have known him when he was a Cpl!

RSM Ford is still in good spirits though! Spent a few weeks with him in the "stan last winter.
