Myrden, who eats, drinks, and smokes 50 grams a day of medical pot, couldn't be happier that the federal government's marijuana monopoly has gone up in smoke.

50 grams per day!!! I'm sorry but I don't care whats wrong with you, if you're using over 2 ounces of pot per day I think what ever health condition you have is the least of your worries!

Tell that to people in constant pain. Trust me that constant pain that won't go away simply eats away at any resolve and eventually you will accept whatever risk to stop it.

Its entirely why medicinal MJ exists.

It doesnt actually make the pain go away. It just makes the person too stoned to care. More should be done to actually solve these peoples illnesses instead of just providing a way for them to get high all the time. 50 grams a day is not just for their illness anymore. At that point its called an addicition.

It makes the pain go away just like any other analgesic even if its mode of action is different.

The bottom line is that the people using it desperatly want it. Alot of other people expect them to suck it up and take the pain so as to not offend their morales.

We are looking for ways to cure the illness but until then I'm not going to tell other people they can't toke up as their method of pain management.

There are other pain medications out there that work just as well. But people are afraid on stepping on peoples toes with their we "can't tell people what they can or can't do" mentality. I mean when a judge says that Ottawa controlling an illigal substance is unconstituional that is just getting out of control. IMO thats just suicidal liberalism at work again.

You also siad "People desperately want it" but that begs the question of why? Is it because they just enjoy its affects and found a convenient reason to get some? Like I said before, the bigger issue IMO is that 50 grams to be completely excessive and goes beyond a pain management program. These people have a different problem at this point then whatever illness that they are apparently suffering from.

Don't you think the medical community knows this? Pain alleviation is just one of the uses.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marijuana#Medical_use

What makes you think the govt has the right to stop people from using MJ? Would you support them outlawing alcohol too considering the death and destruction it causes? How about gambling? Smoking? fatty foods?

I think people need to do a little more research before condemning the practice.

All medication has side effects, addiction possibilities, and complications such as drug interactions with any other life saving drug they may be taking.

Derb, have you ever even smoked up before? We're talking 2 ounces a day man!!! A day!!! That is one hell of a lot of weed! Even if you woke up first thing in the morning and continually chain smoked gaggers until you went to bed you'd still have a hard time smoking that much.

Does anyone here know how many grams of tobacco is in one cigarette? I'm guess one gram per but correct me if I'm wrong. At that this person would be smoking 2 packs a day worth weed, and those would be cigarette size joints!! Nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing justifies smoking or eating that much weed.

    Has anyone noticed.

On election voting day the city of Toronto burns about 20,000 pot plants. The whole city is high
Thats why everyone votes Liberal or NDP.

Sure I've toked. I was a opportunistic user at best. This is just one person though. I doubt most users are at that level.

A cig has a little under 1 gram of tabacco. Cigars about 2.26 on average.

Without any specifics of her case I can't say whats warranted but since I believe in freedom of choice anyway the amount doesn't concern me. Its her life afterall and if thats what it takes to improve her quality of life then its her choice right?

There was more lead and other toxic metals in government pot that it was clear they were trying to poison the recipients anyways.

So it is best they get out before the class actions start. We all know who is going to pay the price for that act of terror(state sponsored poisoning).

You want pot..we'll give you pot...with poison in it!
