HIGH PRAIRIE, Alta. - Up to 2,700 patients will be tested for infection in the northern Alberta community of High Prairie because syringes were being used in more than one intravenous line.

    This boggles the mind. Sharps safety gets drilled into us like rifle training for a soldier. Never ever recap or resuse any sharp (needle, syringe, etc).

    People should lose their jobs over this.

    Unfortunately someone forgot to read the memo about one time use only! I don't work in the medical field and I know that needles and syringes are throw away.

    I also doubt if anybody will lose their jobs. Most likely a stern talking to. :roll:

    and the looney leftwing Liberal party of Alberta is trying to blame the gov't for this :lol:

    cutbacks.....erase incompetence in the left wing world.
