CAF is not a sacred golden calf. It should and must be subject to review like any other government service.

So if he changes the military's overall mission (not just Afghanistan) so it doesn't need tanks, we should keep paying for tanks anyway? Once we're out of Afghanistan...at $200 million a month...should the military's budget stay the same?

Of course the military budget is subject to cuts. Only an idiot would say that the budget will stay the same or rise no matter what.

It should stay the same until our men and women in uniform are outfitted with the equipment they need regardless of theater. I'm sick of this country cutting the funding for it when they aren't being used as much as they are right now. All that does is make it more expensive later on. Get them what they need, then lower it if the need be. But stop cutting the funding from the military so we can put it towards useless shit.

That wasn't the question Dion was asked.

When the interviewer pointed out that was not the same as promising no reductions, Dion replied, "No, but what I'm saying is that we have been good to have strong fiscal discipline in this country and to invest where we are sure that we'll have optimal results."

The Military is still feeling the sting of the last round of cuts the Liberals made. With reduced recruiting and Personnel reduction in the mid-90's there is a serious gap in the levels of experience in our military, not to mention the fact that no new equipment was bought for years....good thing I only have a few years left so I wont be around when the military collapses comletely!!!!

And if you want to talk about job creation, go to any city that has a major military base and tell them you are going to cut funding ....at least then there will be more people to line up for the increase in EI that the government will be paying out!!

Listen, how many liberals are in the military? 6 or 7 that’s it in total. The liberals couldn’t give 2 shits about them. It’s almost like the CPC dumping on the art’s funding, really who give a shit about them?

    Oh yeah the liberals.

“More home made gay porn and less military”

    Should be the liberals slogan
