Teneycke said he understands that the offending material was posted on the company's website only 10 days ago, long after the contracts with the federal government had expired.

"...Nevertheless, he called the slur against Muslims "completely inappropriate.""

So it's okay to make racist comments as long as you're not currently a contractor for the government?

The only purpose this story serves is to embarrass the government and affect the election.
The fact that this offensive material was posted just 10 days ago and now suddenly shows up in the news is proof of a smear job and fools no one.
The fact that they left out how long this company has worked with DND is also missing.

All it does is show how scared and stupid the Liberals and the media think Canadian voters are.

According to Harper's communications director - what difference does that make, anyway? According to the Stan Pioro has made on his page in response, he still very much maintains the offending words found on his site.

If he's going to display his association with the military on his site, he should be expected to display a certain level of respectability.

Harper's office is doing the right thing by distancing themselves from these idiots.

It shows how much of a sad hack you are if you are so partisan you can't anything else.

Strange how any tiny connection between the Liberals and such thinking to you implies support and approval but when its your guys all you do is spout your tired nonesense about how its a non-issue or left/liberal media slur tactics rather then a legitamite concern.

Gear Up Motors should be banned from bidding on government contracts for at least ten years. There should also be an investigation into Lobbyist O'Connor's relationship to them.

Only 10 days ago makes a huge difference and the fact you won't address that shows it's a smear.
This crap is tailor made for the media and the huge headlines in the pet media will show this link while the story says something totally different.
This story will be gone in a few days and you're party will be gone in a few weeks.
    :D

maybe one of you hacks can find how long this company has done business with DND. I'm sure it;s been longer than 2 years.

You would have said that 10 days ago it was a smear also. Considering that the only fuckwit drawing political conclusions from this is you as Blue_Nose has already pointed out the govt is distancing itself from the site and its comments.

In fact everytime something like this happens you accuse the Liberals of using it to make cheap political smears when the person who always does this is you.

Every bitch and every moan every little incident that comes down the pipe you cry about how its the Libs doing bad and crying about how its so unfair that the media and everybody picks on the poor CPC.

    Pathetic.

Jesus Christ, ridenrain, I'll go ahead and post what a Conservative supporter with half a clue would have said, since you're obviously not up to the task:

"Yeah, that's innappropriate, and good for the government in handling it properly as soon as it came to their attention. The government's reaction has shown that they in no way support the views of this company's owner, which don't reflect their values, nor those of the military."

What.. you're all upset that I didn't pay the necessary lip service to the comments?
Yeah, their bad and dumb and racially intolerant.

Because they were planted to embarrass the government, they were meant to be bad and dumb and racially intolerant.
You're " righteous indignation" is getting pretty weak by now.

The comments were planted to embarrass the government? What? Elizabeth hacked into the company's web site and put them there?

That's your theory? It's a kamikaze attack by the owner to smear the government?

    You're a joke.
