Well the liberals in Canada have teeth. Unlike the libs in the US who allow the right wingers to stomp on them at their convenience.

Let the nasty-ness begin for what its worth.

Harper is strong and decisive and hasnt done a single thing to hurt Canada. Say what you will about him, at least he didnt run from the HOC everytime there was a vote...unlike others!! So if it gets nasty those others better watch out because they have made themselves might big targets!!

    Haha, not necessarily:
"To be really honest, I anticipate a very nasty, kind of personal-attack campaign," he(Harper) told Lloyd Robertson, CTV's chief news anchor and senior news editor, at Harrington Lake.

"That's just what I'm anticipating; that's what the opposition's done in the past. I think that whether Canadians agree with what we're doing or not, I don't think they're going to believe the kind of personal attacks and scare tactics that we've seen in the past."

Hey, Harper and the conservatives were the opposition.

Someone should create a "Bush-o-meter" for every time the Liberals and NDP refer to Bush when talking about Harper.

Someone should create a Bushometer to demonstrate just how similar Harper's policies and strategies have been to Bush's.

You want to know what a hypocrite is? It’s someone who tells Canadians that we all have to do our part to lower our carbon foot print, and a tax is the only way to do it. And then goes out and rents one of the dirtiest pollution spewing aircraft left flying in the sky’s today, a 30 year old 737 from Inuit Airlines. 8O

Get your change ready, I’m sure Dion will be passing around the hat at all his campaign stops so he can buy those ever popular carbon credits.

He has done quite a bit, acutally, to undermine western farmers. He tries to handcuff and disable the farmer controlled Canadian Wheat Board at every step. Much to the delight of Americans and Europeans who have tried for decades to have the CWB shut down.

That's irrelevant, Redneck. A modern political campaign requires air travel.

You are right though, the Liberals have purchased offsets. Have the Conservatives, or are they just diddling the numbers like they have with all of their other attacks on the environment?

Exactly, Robair. After decades of criticizing the Liberals for not listening to farmers, Harper not only refused to listen to them, but went as far as engaging in elections tampering when it came the CWB elections.

I hope their not wasting money on that crap. Along with the NDP, the Conservatives will be using identical 35% cleaner, modern day Airbus’s from Air Canada . So their already ahead in the game before a flight attendant can even serve up the first inflight cocktail on the campaign trail.

It’s strange the Libs couldn’t work a deal with one of the major Canadian carriers. Could it be there protest to the green shift, which will cost the Airlines $Millions in fuel tax.

This is typical Liberal hypocrisy. They shovel shit and smears non-stop but cry like babies when some one does the same thing against them.

Dion said that the Liberals wouldn't go nasty so who was the hypocrit again? Bring it on.
