Mini earthquakes rock Vancouver Island

Vancouver Island was rocked by at least 15 earthquakes and aftershocks over an 18-hour period ending on Wednesday afternoon.

I guess this is good as many small earthquakes do relieve pressure on fault lines.

I guess the big one will just have to wait.

we have lots of small quakes all of the time over here, but you can expect a large one at any time. We don't have a clear enough idea of what's going on down there to rule out a 'Big One' striking at any time. The map shows the recorded quakes for last month.

A guy I worked with once upon a time was Polish and Indian. We used to tease him about having trouble remembering how to breathe. He's with the VPD now I think. He was in the RCMP but had to resign.
