Aboriginal leaders have declared war on the oilsands, vowing to go to court to stop what they say is the destruction of their land and the poisoning of their water.
Are these the same natives that hunt at night with semiauto rifles and 4 wheel drives without any quota, or the ones that fish with nets and pitch forks during the spawning season?
Declare war on the fact that they arn't getting the money they want for the land that isn't theirs, for the work they didn't do. If sitting on you're ass & bitching got it done, the NDP would be in power by now.
Good luck with that one. Since the demise of industry in Ontario, Canada has one thing driving the economic engine, natural resources and these idiots want to shut a big part of it down.
Like that's going to happen anytime soon. BTW, the LPofC isn't in power so attempted exhtortion won't result in the usual grandious payouts they've come to expect.

Why yes, it is. It's the "traditional" way to hunt and fish, just like their forefathers did. When Cartier and De Champlain came ashore here, they wondered why there were piles of burning tires, and smoke shacks made with Orange Crush signs. But those were just "traditions" too....that's why they persist, even to the here and now.
