Soviet specialty.

I'm very wary of this. That's a very superficial would that could faked very easy. It's a leap of faith to think that the round was off just enough to draw blood but not really injure. I thing the famous Green helmet Man is behind this.

I guess I will be alive to see a historically disastrous World War.
This going to be... Fascinating.
Keep dreaming. WW3 isn't about to be started over Georgia.

Can anyone take a guess at the caliber?

Based on what? The terminal ballistics?
I's say it's 416 Rigby... Rimed of course.
Although it could have been a pinfire, or perhaps some variation of the square puckle gun...
Refer to the movie "wanted" for more details

Probably 5.45x39 mm or 7.62 x 39 mm
The two most popular Russian calibers for the AK variations

Dragonov? Still in service, ya know.

WARNING RUDE ANSWER
Aww. Piss off. I don't go down to the docks, pull salors dicks out of you're mouth and tell you how to do your'e job!
I agree and I'm more worried about who's holding the camera and pushing the story.
