A girl who turned 13 just three weeks ago told police she "had fun" burning down a brand new home in Harbour View South last May, and said the family that was set to move in can "go to hell."

You know her father is serving time for sexual assault, right? And that she was living in a group home?

I don't think this gal has supportive parents.

She may not have had supportive parents, but, as with any case in Canada, you no longer have to take responsibilty for any crime you commit. It's all someone elses fault and your just a poor victim, which ensures the onus is taken off the criminal and put where is should be................on someone else.

So, despite mommy and daddys failure to make sure muffin didn't commit crime, this little savage requires a very short leash and a very long stint with a shrink, before they should ever consider even letting her out of custody.

The first step to recovery is taking responsibilty for your own actions. Let's hope that someone can get through to her so she will take personal reponsibility
and let's also hope the system stops making excuses for her, so she can.

Personally I'm sick of hearing how every crime in Canada is someone elses fault other than the criminal.

Thats for sure lily, kids now a days don't, for the most part, get any upbringing. This very politically correct society we have made is producing very few children that are worth a pinch of shit. No work ethic, no compassion, selfish and think the world owes them everything for nothing. But yes, you can blame mommy and daddy if you like or society, either way doesn't make the soup hot or cold.

You can't spank them, ground them... WTF!!

The Canadian Gov't needs to butt out of how parents raise kids.

Did you actually read the article? Her parents aren't exactly model citizens themselves. Maybe the gov't needs to raise this kid in such a situation. Too many fucked up, untrustworthy parents these days.

This kid was doomed to be a nutcase the day she was conceived.

I agree that kids are not raised anymore like our parents were, but I don't think a good spanking will get this kid back on track. If she ever has been on track.

You could probably beat the shit out of her, and all she'd do is laugh at you in your face, and ask you if you are done, just before she sets YOU on fire, because that smells so nice...

Hold on, not trying to point you out in particular. :)

But when I saw your post, it seemed contradictary to your opinions last week. You say that the Govt should leave it be, ok, but unless the parent is a ''White Supremacist'' eh !!! plus that parent was probably better at raising her kids than anyone else, but only the fact that it was a conspiracy, I guess it's all ok then.

Either it should the same for ev1 or not. Period.
