N.L. clinic holds lottery to pick new patients

A Newfoundland medical clinic held a lottery this week to determine which patients could see its two new doctors. The clinic had 4,000 potential patients apply to see the physicians, but could only accommodate 2,000.

ok its strange to see a story about my town on the front page.... nothing happens here..

thank god I am lucky enough to have one.. even if it does take 6 weeks to get an appointment

Well this can't be fun. Quick question: is private healthcare prohibited in Canada, or can it just not compete with government funding?

Good old health care in Canada, or lack there of.

And no you can't get private healthcare. The socialists don't want anybody to go to the front of the line.
