$500 fine eyed for illegal file downloads

Until they outlaw things like blank DVD's and recording hardware, they will never eliminate the problem. I hate companies like Sony who cry foul because their music and movies are ripped off but then you go to the sony store and they have DVD recorders on their shelves. Hippocrites.

I think we should add jail time to this sort of theft...that would stop everyone pretty quick. God damn criminals stealing when they think no one is looking.

I agree with you, however I'd guess most are upset about the possibility of having to pay for music and programs. I'm against the legislation because of the unlocking issue and DRM in general.

If it doesn't, I've got all of it, I think up to the current episode. I'll make a copy and mail it to you for no charge!
