Muslims outraged at police advert featuring cute puppy sitting in policeman's hat

A postcard featuring a cute puppy sitting in a policeman's hat advertising a Scottish police force's new telephone number has sparked outrage from Muslims.

Tayside Police's new non-emergency phone number has prompted complaints from members of the Islamic community.

The choice of image on the Tayside Police cards - a black dog sitting in a police officer's hat - has now been raised with Chief Constable John Vine.

WTF can it possibly have to do with Muslims. Maybe their pissed because the ad doesn't involve child marriage, rape, stonning, murder or terrorism, all the values that Muslim radicals hold near and dear.

I suppose next they'll be telling us that Allah was a Tayside Police Officer, before becomming the prophet.

Either way, anything anbody in the western world does sparks outrage from Muslims, go figure.

What does Islam have to do with someone writing "Fuck off" on an exam?

Sounds like this one might have a good punchline!

WTF???? This is getting just way too carried away. Have you ever heard the Jewish community kick up a fuss over "Charlottes Web" because it has a pig in it? Enough with this political correctness bs.

And now back to the subject at hand.

Given the criteria of the current British Education system, I could have been a Rhodes Scholar if I'd have been born 40 years later.

True enough, but unfortunately, Radical Islam seems to have a far greater scope of outrage than Judaism.

All it proves is that the anti-Muslim mania some people here have no no limits to the appropriate threads.

Actually, I thought the original story was a little weak so I tried to hyjack it with a funny news story. WHo could be mad at such a cute little doggy? :D

Hwacker, if you're going to agree with me, learn the difference between "tail" and "tale".

It might have been a non-sequitur for this particular thread, but ridenrain's post did make a valid criticism of radical Muslim ideology trying to make something out of nothing.

But yes, it was a poor place to put it, so let's drop that and take this discussion elsewhere.

Give it a rest fer christ sakes..
I thought the original thread was kinda weak so I tried to hyjack it with another stupid thing that came out of the UK. If you want to fixate on the racial aspects, go ahead but that wasn't my real purpose.
