    I think Gas stations should require pre-pay before pumping.

    Also, if you do Gas-and-dash, lose your license for 3 months and a fine.

    They have camera's and should be able to catch a tag number.

    I work PT at a gas station on the weekends. Last Saturday we had several drive offs. Each one resulted in a phone call to the RCMP. Several people claimed it was an 'honest' mistake, while other vehicle were found to have used stolen license plates, making enforcement impossible.

    My guess is that many gas stations will go to pre-pay 24/7 if the trend continues.
