If you're going to build a bridge right next to another one...they should really use the same design...

A little closer but still plenty of time for the little whiney bitches to start up.

Didn't you notice that pristine old groth forest to the East of the bridge? No, no.. not the old dump site.. It's probably home to spirit bears, spirit crows and maybe some spirit raccoons too. It has to be protected.

I swear that some of those idiots in Vancouver refuse to accept change of any kind. It's like their living in some kind of lefty twilight zone.

The new bridge will have bike lanes. I was at a meetig for this bridge and I asked what the bike path would connect to at the west end of the bridge (since it's illegal to ride your bike on the highway). They couldn't answer.

The bridge will solve the immediate bottleneck problem but doesn't address the longer term sustainable development issues. I think that there should be dedicated roads for bikes only--not a two foot swath of death near the curb of a busy road.
