In the war against Toronto's illegal handguns, chalk up 37 for the good guys.

good work on the part of the police.

Now if Millar would start to actually do some work instead of preaching about bans, maybe his city would not be running with blood.

Nothing like a liberal to pass the buck and attempt to deflect blame from where it REALLY should lie.

To me, and I'll admit I'm no expert on gun smuggling...but does it seem like 235 rounds for 37 guns seem...kinda small? They might have done a shipment already. That's a little more than 6 bullets for each gun.

other issue is there is no such thing as illegal ammunition. Those guns take the same ammo as any other gun of the same caliber. Hence, there is no point in smuggling the ammo, you can get it at walmart.

Yeah there is, Cop killer rounds...aka AP or armor piercing bullets. I think those are still illegal. If I'm wrong, oops.

ok yes your write, what I was referring to is you can get any of the ammo for those firearms legally in Canada.

So there is little point of smuggling in ammo. It is heavy and difficult to hide.

But, yes AP rounds are illegal. But hollow point are not.

Too bad they weren't smuggling drugs too, then our lazy ass judges would let them go.

    Case in point:

VANCOUVER - Jonathan Bacon, 27, the eldest of three Bacon brothers walked out of court a free man Friday after a judge dismissed 15 drug and gun charges and threw out all the evidence seized by police. (Vancouver Sun)

Solution: Tax the shit out of bullets. Make people take out home equity loans to fill their clips.

then we should do the same for fuel since cars kill 1000 x more people in Canada than guns.

does that logic sound reasonable to you?

The availability of firearms that are illegal in both the USA and Canada are an argument to allow Canadians and Americans to own and carry firearms to give themselves a sporting chance against criminals who are so heavily armed. The Mayor of Toronto is a total idiot by using this event as an opportunity to push for a total handgun ban that would have NO EFFECT WHATSOEVER on the trade in full automatic weapons.

You know what? All the murders and suicides in Canada are done by PEOPLE. Let's ban and tax the shit out of people too. If you want a child, you need to dish out 150,000 in gold. From a Spanish Treasure Ship. That hasn't been discovered yet.
