TORONTO — The son of Stompin' Tom Connors says his father is open to licensing his famed hockey song to CBC as a replacement for the ``Hockey Night In Canada'' theme, which was acquired by CTV on Monday

    Interesting, Stompin' Tom is a very patriotic Canadian. We couldn't go wrong with a song from him.

    not quite the same punch as the NHIC song, but it wouldnt be so bad..

    Great idea. He might consider re-recording it--it's a pretty barebones folk arrangement as it stands. Get Great Big Sea for some instrumental and b/u vocals. Yeaah!

    ROTFL ROTFL ROTFL I love the Canucks with the golf club....I was thinking a revamped punk version of the HNIC theme song...hell everyone rips everyone else off...just changed up a few chords and its mine baby....Im gonna give it a shot!!!! :twisted:
