I think he meant Holly from Red Dwarf.
Well this poster admits his ignorance and yet bashes.
It would be more of a subject why he don't believe.
I have my reasons why I don't but to spew things like he may of raped little boys is unfounded.

Its one thin gnot to believe but leave room for others to make that choice.
Looks more like a flaming thread to me.

Seems like Spiker went on a rampage. All posts deleted or heavily modified.

Anyway, nice to see that Religion's hold on Canadians is waning. It's not so much that Religion is "bad", but more like many Religions have been jumping the shark for awhile and the time has come for some of them to enter the phase of Historical Curiosity. Christianity and Islam are the 2 main Religions that should cease, mainly because they are the most belligerent, but there are others whose tiime has passed.

I'm just glad freedom of religion is integral in our society.

The media has really misrepresented this...

75% of Canadians still believe in God and 25% don't...not a big surprise, but I wouldn't say "many" Canadians, its only 1 in 4, and hardly a majority.

Whats happening in Canada and Europe (and the USA to a slower degree) is organized religion is collapsing in on itself because of it's hypocrisies and people are moving to more of a personal inner spirituality and moving away from the structure of the church.

I still believe in God and Christ, but don't subscribe to any denomination or set structure of it.

Westie, Westie, Westie, you are forgeting one thing. The next logical question should be is: WHICH God do you believe in? The monotheistic god of Christians, Jews and Muslims? One of the Aesir, or the Vanir, perhaps Poseidon?

Then "a god" should be defined...

People who believe in a "higher power" do not necessarily believe in a god, but probably are considered to do believe in a god...

You didn't read the article, did you? 8)

Actually, I did. It is a dull written article, so it didn't really go that deep.

    What is your point anyway?

I agree. People can't be forced to believe any particular thing, at least not in a way that matters. In time Religion(s) will just cease being due to well Educated people who see the Truth.
