The federal Conservative government announced plans yesterday to spend more than $500 million this year on new transport aircraft for the military and $120 million to improve the safety and security of the Chalk River Laboratories.

    $500 million for 13 Hercs? That sounds like a pretty good deal! Let's buy more...

    They are buying 17 Hercs, I think they are just referring to the E models we still have in inventory (13 of them). Those REALLY need to be replaced.
