Campbell is a genius, surely that 2.4 cents will be the tipping point to get us off the gas. Have fun at the next election a hole.

I think you better do some research before spouting off again.

In Canada the top 30% income earners pay %60 of the tax in Canada. The lowest 30% pay less than 5% and the middle class pay the rest.

That being said, the Canadian sheeple need to grow up and demand less taxes as a whole and not paying GST on gas is less than a 1 cent per liter savings.

Maybe it's the 48cents per liter in taxes that needs to change.

so this is what dion has in store for us on a nationwide scale ?

makes me wonder why liberal mp's like dan mcteague make such a fuss about gas prices if there leader dion has a plan up his shelve to raise them in the name of a carbon tax

Actually RUEZ may want to vote NDP...they are opposing this as its unfair to Northerners and Rural British Columbians.

I guess the only silver lining in all this is all money eanred from it is being given back in means of tax breaks, and if you DO reduce your emiissions, you can reduce your taxes too.
