The Conservatives stand at 33 per cent support across Canada, a loss of three percentage points since a similar poll in March. The Liberals have been the prime beneficiaries of that slide, up four percentage points to 30 per cent, according to the online

"Paul Nesbitt-Larking, chair of political science at Huron University College at the University of Western Ontario, noted that for all the challenges that have confronted Dion, the Liberals remain roughly where they were in the 2006 election, or a little stronger."

Ontario remains a bastion for Liberal support. I believe ontario will swing the vote next year towards a minority again.

I think the end of logical politics is here. Many Canadians will choose party ideology over short term policies. Conservative minded folk will vote cons, and socially liberal people will vote libs. That's how the United States and UK have become over the past few years.

The LIBRANOs published another wish list---and called it a poll?

Much of this is stupid labelling.

Historically tories were viewed to represent the establishment while liberals(small l) represented the popular support.

The so-called conservatives are now the true liberals with broad grass-roots support while the LIBRANOs are floundering without their corporate/establishment donors.

The only popular support the LIBRANOs enjoy are those deluded with the popular support myth.......such as the leftist GTA.

Liberal leadership will change hands before the next election or we may be stuck in Limbo for another 4 years.

Uh-oh...the partisan automatons are out pushing rhetoric again. And, as per usual, it's long on junk politics and short on truth.

Sorry, but Ontario isn't "Left" it's "centrist" but hey, who is anyone to argue with the informed observers

In your dreams! If it was it wouldn't have so many safe LIBRANO seats in the GTA and harper would have a majority.

So how's that Liberal government working out for you Ontario? After so many years of majorities, things must be damned near perfect.
    Crime rate really low?
    Workers all finding jobs?
How's that new transit thingy going for ya?

Sounds like the Libs aren't doing so well in Quebec either. Something that was a bit different 2 years ago.

Was that a point? Sorry, this is "Centrist" territory, and your partisan hackery doesn't change that.

It's fine here, but thanks for not knowing.

Funny, all I hear are shootings, stabbings, gangs, dugs and now a huge transit strike. Let's add native rebelion and a few other things and I'd imagine that you're premier will be begging to Ottawa again.. when he gets back from China.

If the Libs were the party of favor for Toronto, you'd expect the streets to be paved with gold, instead of shit & blood.
