Hillary, won't quit. She realizes the (delegate) math is against her, but she is running on the hope the super-delegates will give the nomination to her, ignoring the popular vote.
She does have a good arguement though. She is tried and tested, has experience, and she is winning the big industrial states and swing states (Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Ohio, Florida [although no pledged delegates]), and she is winning the Democratic strongholds of New York, New Jersey, California, etcetera.
This could very well go to the August Democratic Convention in Denver. Hillary didn't rule a convention battle out, when she was asked.
And a this is worth repeating...a whopping 40% of Hillary Clinton supporters say they would stay home or vote McCain rather than vote Obama.
And if Hillary get the nomination, do you think the Black vote will be out in droves for her? Unlikely.
The infighting is tearing them apart, sealing the deal for John McCain.
Oh won't Europe be sucidal when John McCain wins it...
But seriously, this is ludicrous you have:
A) Iraq War, 2/3rds of Americans want out, really unpopular, Republican failure
B) Economy tanking, and basically in a recessing
C) An outgoing Republican President with one of the worst approval ratings in American history
D) A Democratic congress
E) A surge of new Democratic registered voters, and a HUGE Democratic turnout for the primaries (compared to Republicans)
All this should point to a sweep to the White House for the Democrats, yet their bliddy infighting coupled with the Republicans managing (by the grace of God) to get a moderate who appeals to independents, like John McCain, is pretty much guaranteeing the election for John McCain.
But, why oh why, do the Democrats always shoot themselves in the foot?
They are securing the presidency for John McCain with their antics.
