This is total horseshit, before the decision to block the sale all the voices were saying how devastating the sale of MDA and RADARSAT 2 would be for Canada. We would lose control over the sat and the technology behind it. So rightly the sale was cockblocked.

Now we have the bloody National Post of all things saying that because of retarded AMERICAN POLICY, we should sell off our high technology companies to the Americans so said companies can sell products to the American government. Where the hell is the net benefit to Canada in this plan?

National Post, staffed by a crowd of fucking sellouts.

I think Radarsat is a boondoogle. It has very little use and there are other radar satelites. You can get aerial photographs of the entire country from the library. I happen to have worked with the guys that designed the thing.

Here is an article which perfectly illustrates everything that is wrong with the National Post and the neo-liberal/neo-con interests which it serves: Always eager as they are to sell Canada out in the name of some dogmatically held quick-buck ideology even when the deal is so obviously an almost catastrophically bad one for Canada.

Once again, for the record: Kudos to the government for putting the kibosh on this deal.
