May I start off this post with a prediction? I predict this topic will be swarming with the same old Global Warming and Al Gore jokes. That is my prediction. Let's just sit back and see if it comes true.

"We found four different incidents where the bear had been killed by an adult male to eat — in other words, cannibalism," Stirling said Wednesday.

"I thought that was very unusual. I've never seen it, anywhere."

Bullsh*t. Adult male bears commonly attack and kill cubs. That's why the females birth the cubs on their own and raise them on their own.

Heck, even Wiki knows this. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polar_bear

Cubs may fall prey to wolves, to adult male polar bears...

This rotten, lying SOB is shilling for global warming by taking an existing and established fact of life for polar bears and trying to spin it into a global warming issue.

The article didn't say it was cubs that were found eaten.

An admission that, right off the hop, you realize this is just more GW BS?
Canabalism is the usual result of overpopulation rather than food supply.

Then why differentiate that it was adult males doing the killing?

    Think.

The polar bear expert says it's unusal behaviour, and Bart's calling bullshit - based on his wikipedia research ROTFL

Why do you think you know better about polar bears, based on wikipedia, than a polar bear expert? Why would he make such an obvious error?

No, I'm saying that this is something I already knew and even the left-leaning Wiki has the factoid listed. Maybe you should go to Wiki and edit that away since it's embarrassing you.

    Embarassing for me!! ROTFL

Email the link to him - this is crucial information!! Obviously what you claim is common knowledge of polar bears slipped passed him in his years of reseach.

I think you can reach him at holyshit@youreamoron.com

Ringed seals usually make homes of snow on the large, smooth expanses of sea ice during the spring. But Stirling's research has found that global warming has caused thin ice to layer and bunch together to create ice formations in which seals can hide.
