Strike three and it's out -- again. Raucous anti-China protesters have extinguished the Olympic flame for the third time in Paris this morning.

The Chinese abolished Tibetan slavery only to replace it with Communist slavery. I fail to see the improvement.

For once this is a protest I'd actually join in with if given the opportunity.

How China gets away with being such a repressive regime is down to pure greed by the West. Our governments and corporations are quite happy to exploit the cheap labour available in China and basically avert their gaze to the nasty shit the PRC does to it's own citizens.

Europe is doing the same towards Putin's Russia. Give us gas and we won't say too much about the dictatorship that's replaced the USSR.

I read some more of the comments......... GG does the Chinese govt have people on standby to write this stuff?

Is the media going to report these protests everytime? It's boring and redundant. All these stories are starting to have a "Boy Who Cried Wolf" effect one me. I'm starting not to care about Tibet because of all this

I am really sick with these kind of news?

    Rachel
What's not interesting about all this news about anti-China protestors is that the stories are very one-sided. So much so, that I've become inclined to turn off the news as soon as one of these stories comes on. How about broadcasting a story about all of the protests going on right here in Canada about the what many consider to be these protestor's and the media's distortion of the Tibet issue. Then at least it would be a more insightful news story.

    Canada Loves China
China is bending over backwards to appease the west and all we do is complain and complain

And it goes on and on. I wonder if they could be a bit more blatant about it? ROTFL

I heard on the radio that there was some kind of rally at UBC, telling us how the evil US sponsors those nasty Tibet rebels. Good old university hive mind proving that being educated and being intelligent are very different things.

(Remember, You heard it first here, you anti-American rabble)

Come on ridenrain you can do better than that, you know as well as I do that they were probably students who're Chinese nationals protesting. The Tibetan has always had lots of support on campuses

And now maybe you'll understand why they didn't let themselves get dragged into your country's Rape of Iraq.

The existance of these protests would be your first clue? Or the 150,000 Tibetan exiles?

Yeah they did a much better job than the Brits now didn't they? The french got through the escort of Chinese thugs in blue and white track suits.
