Gasoline prices rolled closer to record levels across Canada on Thursday, an unwelcome sign that crude prices are high and refiners are getting ready for the summer driving season that's just around the corner.

Gas taxes, Paying for Quebec and a Broken Health System.

Canadian are getting screwed at the pump. But the Conservative Gov't and Liberal Gov't are the same and offer nothing to fix the problem.

Big U.S. Oil companies own Alberta and until the Gov't starts to look out for Canadians welfare and our resources "FOR CANADIANS FIRST" high gas prices will continue to get worse.

Expect to see prices as high at $2.50 to $3.00 a litre up there soon.

Oh come on what a bullshit.

That is what they said in Holland too, a couple of years ago. It never happened, and it will never happen here either.

I live next to the border... I can guarantee, $ 2.50 or more will not happen anytime soon. I don't even expect the $ 1.50 that was mentioned somewhere before.

The economy is upside down in the United States right now.

Diesel prices have always been cheaper than Gas prices. Currently, Diesel is about $3.98 a Gallon, and Gas is about $2.95 to $3.25 per gallon.

I expect to see Gas prices pass diesel prices this summer here in the United States to about $3.30 to $3.70

Gas in Canada will jump too.

Until the gov't starts to regulate the prices more and both Canada and the United States develop better, alternative fuel sources, as well tapping into our own resources here in the United States, rather than looking to the middle east.. prices will remain high.

The United States has to start drilling in Alaska.

Failing that, just invade Canada. :)

I don't think the Us economy and the Canadian economy are that much alike that you can compare gasprices and draw conclusions...

Record prices, summer time: it's all irrational exuberance.

To appropriate a resource, you have to follow some rules.
