Lets see, they have the wrong number of casualties, the war is NOT illegal, Layton says he wants security without the combat. A real solid argument they're making.

    One comment stands out.

Peal back the skin of that onion and it looks like knee jerk anti-Americanism. Identical to the MacCarthyism of the 50's, zealots have found an enemy and they need look no further.

Maybe it does advance selfish American interests, as a residual effect, but I don't think that's why we're there. Most of the political leaders in Afghanistan want us there and recognise that we're trying to help them rebuild, which is quite the opposite of what America did to Iraq.

A casual glance at the map of ASIA reveals that the trans-Afghanistan pipeline proposal died due to events. It is obvious that the central asian gas and oil is much closer to Chinese territory than to the Arabian Sea. China's demand for energy makes for a ready market. Think about it.

How does the military feel about this? Canadian gernerals must know how the ocupation is going. Are we doing any good there? If we leave will we have to go back? Does the general population feel safe? Are Canadaian soldiers appeciated by the general population?

So which way will your bias swing after November.

Those protesters have the collective knowledge of a pregnant camel with it's ass on fire.

He was probably in the house when Paul Martin committed us to the Khandahar region and our current combat role.

I am really begining to believe the following statement,

    Conservatives think Liberals are wrong.
    Liberals think Conservatives are evil.

Come on ken, at least TRY to live in the same world as the rest of us.

Get ur head out of your ass....For someone that's been through University your as well read as a bag of hammers.

    On a different note,
As much as I like to avoid politics at work a respected francophone colleague of mine broached the subject of politics. He started talking about Harper, he said he's liked what he's accomplished. But admitted that he feels that he's too much like bush. I told him I hear that alot. And asked him what exactly he meant by it, I said is it because of Afghanistan he said no, he understood it was part of our responsiblity when NATO asked us to go that we did.

So I asked again what are the examples , any policies or foreign or otherwise that made him believe that. He said well he just acts like Bush, the way he talks his mannerisms.

Then I said, well if you can't give me an examples I can only assume it's because he speaks english without a french accent that makes him appear "Bush-like" to him... You should of saw the back peddling then.... lol

I think you fall in the same school kenmore, you just dont like/trust english prime ministers.

    BTW
This is why we are there....
