yeah it might be time for an election by the politicans standards but the problem is the public has no appetite for one at this time. and not really that upset with current government or see's any need to rush into one.
Its odd he should express such a sentiment since both Liberal and Conservative opinionated journalists, parliamentary watchers etc seem to feel all the parties are actually working quite well together making this the most effect government for the people of Canada in a long time.

well things have got worst in recent weeks and months ( maybe because of the mulroney thing and cadman allegations ) it seems a few of the commitees have become very partisan places to be these days.
all a sign the minority might be nearing its end . even though the general public is in no rush for a nationwide election campaign.
A poll published in La Presse (an average Quebec newspaper) said that 73% of the Quebec population wanted a new government, but only 43% want to have an election anytime soon.
What I heard about the minority government is that it's more of a circus. I mean yeah, they're debating that's right. But what have they done? Cut taxes. Don't take me wrong, that's a good thing but I really expect my government to do more (and quicker). Issues are racing in front of a turtle government, with the Bloc and NDP mouthing out all they want since they're not the official opposition and starting useless debates, the liberals keep contradicting themselves and support the government because they don't have the money to get into an election and the conservatives can't propose anything too out of the ordinary because they might get voted out. They want to be voted out on an issue that the Canadians agree with the conservative party.
The last time I saw an article talking about the future elections, it was saying that analysts planned elections to be in June at the earliest. My personal guess is fall, nobody wants an election at the beginning of summer.
