    If they are willing to pay for private healthcare that will cover them in the event of an accident then let them do as they please! but as long as any repair bill is coming out of public coffers they have to follow the law!!

    To bad it's already in BC and .. Manitoba?

    A standard helmet specification should nbe in the national standard, not left up to the provinces, just like seat belt use and driving on the right side of the road.

    Finally a ruling that makes sense. A few more of these from judges in this country and things might start getting better.
