Volunteers poured into a Vancouver Island community centre Friday, offering their help in the search for an eight-year-old Washington state boy last seen playing on a rocky beach.
Oh man...I know that area so well and during the winter it is so easy to be taken away by the waves. That is so heartbreaking for the family and the community of Tofino.
I've been to Tofino when I was 10...nice place, and such a small town.
Very creepy.
That doesn't make any sense. How can you say the place was nice but then say it is very creepy?
I read it as the town was nice, but the situation with the boy's disappearance is creepy...
So did I...
It is very easy to get swept out to sea in Tofino. The rocks are slick and the waves crash hard. It isnt called the 'Wild Pacific' for nothing. This poor boy has probably drowned. You cannot turn your back on a child in this area. I know it as well as the back of my hand and it can be dangerous, there are signs everywhere about the dangers but people still attempt climbing the rocks during storm season. Its a shame, but nothing creepy.
Very creepy.
My prayers are with the family

Tofino is far from Creepy...It is an absolutely beautiful place with an amazing and friendly community...

I meant the disappearance of the boy was creepy.
