    BLINK or flip-flop?

Not sure---his remarks are too ambiguous. I think he's hired Benoit as his speechwriter----and his handlers have finally brought him to heel.

My suspicion is that DION is as if not more head-strong and pig-headed than Cretin.

His has lost the opportunity to flip-flop----he either stays the course or blinks.

not really sure what dion has planned , might not bring it down over afghanistan but instead try and find another bill one that better suits there agenda and make them look less bad for bringing minority to an end .
for the liberals its all a quest to return to power , they might of had enough of the minority and want to see if they can do better and if they can't then they will dump dion.

We often here the idea that the people will punish the party that calls the election. Do any of you believe that really plays a part? I think the average Canadian dosen't follow federal politics and how they vote is determined more on how the election is sold in the news than what party drops the hat.

well anything is possible i guess . but not sure how many actual votes would change depending on who forces the election.

agree many don't follow that much about politics and actual campaign will affect there vote to an extent.
say problem now for the cpc is geting alot of bad press in the news on different things , during an actual campaign they can buy nationwide tv ads and get more positive press in smaller local ridings . so they might do better then instead .
