What a strange place Canada is in 2008, where the police care more about human rights than the human rights commissions do, where fundamentalist Muslims use hate-speech laws drafted by secular Jews, and where a government bureaucrat can interrogate a publ
There is no such thing as a stupid question----there stupid people who don't ask though.
Required reading.......
Animal Farm----George Orwell.........
"All animals are equal but some are more equal than others..........."
I am offended every time Jack Layton or Stephane Dion open there mouths...wheres the government worker to shut them up????
The real disturbing item in the article is that the Human Rghts Investigator asked what his thoughts were.....
Instead of Animal Farm maybe 1984 would be more apt since the Thought Police are out!!!!
You certainly have a point there.
It's not Orwell but Huxley.
There are no thought police to take you away into the night but there is a huge media empire to tell you what's normal, what to think and how to feel. There is a progressive inertia that crushes or belittles independant thought and even "the edge" has a staff of trendmomngers to bless what's acceprable and marginalize what is not.
You folks need to re-read brave new world.
