If Americans don't want the oil from Alberta's lucrative, but hard-to-produce oilsands and try to limit development, places like China and India will be happy to gulp it up, Premier Ed Stelmach cautioned Wednesday.

Here is an example of protestors jumping on the band wagon. When was the last time you saw polar bears in Alberta. I think they need to get a map and a bit of reality.

Back to the seventies....I recall a fellow, in jest, managed to easily assemble a protest with a repectable number of demonstartors----the usual suspects----chantin......"SAVE OUR SKEET". The alleged organizations goal was to end the venerable cruel practice of SKEET SHOOTING before the skeet became extinct.

It is rumoured that the NRA helped relocate the guy and give him a new identity............

No doubt! Some of the denizens of the big cities never ever get much further than several blocks in their whole life. Met a bunch of folk in New Orleans that had never gone beyond the city limits.

However, citing anomaly's I recall in 1998, allegedly the warmest year, encountering a snow squall north bound on I75 in the highlands south of Gaylord Michigan in July. It didn't wet the pavement, but required wipers----it was definitely snow.
