Wow. What a sad little political shitstorm you're trying to work up. It's a tempest in a tea cup. I expecially like the staunch onservative who has turned, yet is too gutless to leave his name.
Joe Clark - Shut up. No one cares what you think anymore.

The situation lacked good leadership prior the the reactor shutdown.

As you say, anyone with a proper understanding of nuclear technology should never have allowed the situation to get out of hand. She did, she got fired, whats the problem?

Yesterday she said she would file a lawsuit if fired and also volunteered to show up today for hearings, then she was a no show.

So all anyone can do right now is speculate and make assumptions,I'll wait for her side of the story and regardless of who's responsible this problem should be corrected as Canada is the worlds largest supplier of iso-topes for cancer patients. The world depends on us,lets make it right and leave the cheap political shots to the people trying to gain political points with this.

I haven't read the article yet, I'm just curious what makes them corrupt?

I'll apologise when you come through with a name but right now you're just a faceless nobody with no track record. We have a host of anonymous who are mostly irrational leftist cheap shot artists, and that's what I'm calling you untill you prove otherwise.

You were so very quick to tell us you were a Conservative yet you're first post is to say you're siding with the Liberals, on something that is obviously an example of underfunded inferstructure.

I don't think a Conservative would wait for his membership to pass and would be proud of his words enough to sign them.

Okay I'll admit here, we're wandering into the lands of perception here.

So some would say she deserved to be fired, that she was incompetent, etc etc. That's a fine point of view. But after Harper's ridiculous tying of financial aid to wood industries to the voting of the next budget and the allegations of financial electoral fraud against more than one Conservative MP (including at least one minister, that being Josée Verner), I'm in a cynical mood and would rather say she was just seen by the govt as a political enemy that should be rid of at the first opportunity... and boy, did they ever have a good reason to do it now.

So disagree all you want, I can't prove what I'm saying and never will be in position to. But not admitting the situation does at least *somewhat* fishy is blind faith.

What happened to the anonymous post? I wanted to follow that up but that shameful example of bullshit was pruned, I guess because it was so embarassing.

This is one of the reasons I want to stop anonymous posters from commenting. Any of us here have a name and a record of posts and people can get an idea who we are and what we stand for by what we said. When you don't have a name, you have no reason or caution and can lie and bullshit as much as you like.
It has no benefit to this forum.
