An official report from People for The Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), submitted nine months after a Virginia government agency's deadline, shows that the animal rights group put to death more than 97 percent of the dogs, cats, and other pets it too

    The animals are killed based on overflow, there is no way to avoid it.

    Apparently every other humane society in Virginia managed to avoid it to the tune of of euthansia rates of around 34% vice the 80% average for PETA for the last eight years.

    Humane societies that probably don't raise $30 million in a year.

    A media bias is indicated in that this revelation has only occured in a realtively obscure canadian media.
