Mercer joins the navy for a day

Rick Mercer passed a day at sea on the HMCS Protecteur by serving lunch to 250 sailors, decorating a cake, piloting an inflatable boat and telling jokes. In return, the sailors strung him out on a line over the roiling waters of the Pacific.
