A new book reveals the 22-year effort by FBI director J Edgar Hoover to get Albert Einstein arrested as a political subversive or even a Soviet spy.

    If people think that the American government is paranoid today, they wouldn't believe what was happening in the 40s and 50s...

    It doesn't surprise me that J Edgar Hoover made an attempt to get
    Albert Einstein arrested as a Soviet spy.

    Albert Einstein was light years ahead of his time(no pun intended).
    He was certainly a force to be reckoned with.

    Yeah I recall a time when I was accused of being a McCarthiest whacho.........seeing reds under our beds.

    Then the USSR collapsed and many of their files revealed that there really were REDS UNDER OUR BEDS and many of our "peace movement" were in bed with them.

    The pinko media was extremely silent about those revelations.
