Saskatchewan may be sitting on oil bonanza

That would be a great thing for our province! Moving home may yet be an option!

More Americans will know (approximately) where it is.
And the rest the of world won't say, SaskatcheWHAT?


Seriously, I have friends in the Gaspé region thinking about moving there for work.
--- Note: the unemployment rate in Gaspé is about 162%.

As long as when they drill they don't drill anywhere near Dog River, I don't want to see Oil derricks behind The Ruby

Anyhow, back to topic, I would consider moving to Sask if the right employment opportunity was there.

After all, unlike Alberta now, cost of living is very affordable in Sask. Also, they got a great football team

No kidding why do you think they dumped the NDP. Nobody wants them around when you have a booming economy...hands in your pockets...hands in your pocket

I seriously hope this happens for Saskatchewan.

If only to make Alberta and Quebec already more pissed off than they already are...

Its funny most people don't understand Saskatchewan has a booming economy and under. the NDP, in addition they had fourteen balanced budgets in a row, after the Grant Devine Tories put that Province 22 billion dollars in debt.
As for an oil boom, you better believe it, I heard they have bigger reserves that the Alberta tar sands and it runs almost all the way across the province in the north. When I was there in October, I couldn't believe the number of rigs in south eastern Saskatchewan.

It's easy to have a balanced budget when your population leaves

You heard wrong Alberta"s oil reserves are second to Saudi Arabia. Oh, BTW while the NDP government was sitting on its ass scaring away investment and collecting transfer payments from Ottawa (balancing it's budget)Albertans were drilling sideways draining Saskatchewan's oil . there ain't much left under there.
