Cookbook author and television chef James Barber, who appeared on CBC-TV for 10 years as The Urban Peasant, has died.

My cooking style is totally from watching Urban Peasant. Best Cooking show host ever.

I always liked his humor and his style. It made his show relaxing. Like you were right there in the kitchen as he was cooking.
