Really Mackay has committed an offense by being leery of a slimeball.

I'm leery of most if not all LIBRANOs is the a crime?.......perhaps to the LIBRANOs.....to anyone else it is just good judgement.

Karlheinz Schreiber has no credibility in what he is saying. Schreiber is facing a variety of tax and fraud accusations in Germany and has been fighting an extradition order since 2004.

Right now he will say anything to stay in Canada rather than face prision in Germany.

Very true: Schreiber has no credibility.

But this is still going to hurt the political fortunes of the conservative government.

and that is obvivously what the cbc was wishing for when they made it there top story , if the conservatives weren't in power would anyone have cared to hear about this ?

It isn`t like the story has been buried in the back pages by other, private-sector media outlets, ryan.

As for how this might have been be covered if the Cons weren't in power, the story obviously becomes sexier if it affects the ruling party. That's just the way it is. The sponsorship scandal would have been given less attention too if the Libs had been in opposition at the time.

well admit its been in every major nationwide newspaper chain , but the cbc news especially has shown alot of this story . especially politics show , it has showed alot of this story at expense of other issues .

any scandal only gets big if party affected is in power , otherwise it wouldn't really even be a scandal it would just be old news right ?

and who wants to pay to read old news ?
