    The forfeiture of the "proceeds" of crime is very much open to abuse by overzealous officials.

    Think it's great the Hells Angels had their ass handed to them, but not really cool with the new law.

    They could make the criminals watch as they burn the money, only it would be fake bills

    Here in Ontario the proceeds go to the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board. This agency awards damages for losses and pain and suffering to victims of crime.

    I like that kind of law, the victims get the money.

    The CICB has a few problems 3-5 years to get an award....

    Maximum of $250/week for lost wages.
