OTTAWA — Stéphane Dion's federal Liberals are constructing an election scenario in which they would try to defeat the government in February, before the Conservatives can deliver another budget, according to party strategists, officials and MPs.

I thought Canadians didn't want an election. That's what Dion, Iggy and all the other say. Why so much confusion? You wouldn't get that wit a real leader.

    Lol. Good one!
I can just imagine David Dingwald in the EI office, demanding his entitlements.

It must be nice for the Libs to be able to smell blood and go back on the offense again after four-odd years of being on the ropes....

    Gotta love Mulroney.

Lol. Yeah. You guys definately need to run with that.
The only one pushing for that turkey is Dion. All of the Chretienites are getting of that bus, and a couple of the Liberals on this site won't even discuss the topic.

Be sure to run on Dion's higher taxes and his soft on crime stance too.

the liberals might be on the offensive but there still lacking any clear agenda other than complaining about mulroney who hasn't been an mp for how many years ?

and there new candidates aren't as high profile as previous mp's who ran for them especially in ontario so there making noise but stuck in opposition .

How can the Liberals be for an election, when all they have is a pea shooter and Dion has forgotten how to blow.

At least he's honest, he knows neither will stand a chance.

the libs kinda remind me of the student who hasn't been paying attention in class and who is unprepared for test , yet still overly eager to do test anyways just to get it over with . and everyone in class including teacher knows they have no chance of passing test.

You place too much importance on a lable.

Without the lable the LIBRANOs would have nothing...........

He's joined all of the groups. With that level of hedging, I think he only really deserves the Liberal one...
