If they want to attract more young people, they need to buy fighters or attack helos, not cargo planes...

The Air Force requires those with a post secondary education---which is hindered by the leftist pacifist environment of most institutions of higher learning. Witness the attempt to bar recruiters from campuses.

While i would agree with you that publicaly funded Universites or Colleges should not have the right or option to ban recruiters. I would say this in responde to the overall age of the members of the CF in general and the lack of new people staying in.

It bascially comes down to that with the economy doing so well the Armed Forces cannot compete with the wages in the private sector. In addition being a civillian means that you done have to spend years away from your family, get shot at, or freeze your ass off on the North Atlantic

Not to metion the open disrespect and disgust that the Liberal Party showed our armed forces for decades has ledt them still with ancient equipment.
