The big question, though, is still whether or not this will be enough for Dion to grow a pair, vote on something and bring down the Conservatives. If not, it's all hot air.

What is remarkable is Mulrooney's demand for a judicial inquiry which amounts to a trial of an issue, calling witnesses etc. This demand is backed by the LPC.

Perhaps Mulrooney is acting from a position of strength. Inuendos and slurs could for naught in a judicial inquiry. Mulrooney is not just seeking vindication but perhaps another $2,100,000. The LIBRANOs are his sworn enemies and a victory in a judicial inquiry would destroy the LIBRANOs for generations to come.

The dramatic shift in the polls indicates how much the public is watching......imagine the shift with a victory?

Logically, the prosecution only has at this point unproven allegations by a convicted, con artist, influence peddler facing deportation to germany to face more charges of the same. The NDP received this inflormation months past and admitted to discarding it....Currently the NDP is remaining aloof.

    This should prove interesting.

Since this is all being pushed by Chretien, worried that his "legacy" will be overshadowed by Mulroney, perhaps the Chretien half of the Liberal party can pay the legal costs when they lose again.
