Beer drinkers could have a tough time swallowing a price hike as local breweries face a worldwide hops shortage and scramble to fill their shelves with the vital ingredient.

Corn prices are going up, hops prices are going up...

Those child care tax redit cheques aren't buying as much beer and popcorn as they used to...
