She is the darling of the moneyed interests. , for example, backs her and even though she is an intellectual void and bereft of policy ideas she is their ticket now that pudding Ron has all but imploded.

I will dam them with faint praise for at least trying to turn the channel from Trump but the base wont fall for that. The only way to dissuade them from following the Orange man over a cliff is if he gets real convictions and removed from the ballot in 2024.

If he gets removed from the ballot there will be chaos. His people will lose it.

Empty cans make the most noise. Sure, they will make it and people will no doubt get harmed/killed in the process but this is not going to be a mass uprising on par with the black lives matter protests that they will inevitably try to mimic.

The thing is they have been signaling that they were going to do this anyway for so long that intuitions have had time to plan for it. The military has purged from their officer corps any hint of insurrectionists in their ranks and have cracked down hard. So much so it is now embedded policy and a career killer if you even have a hint of support for such ideas. Congress is still lousy with them but even Tommy Tuberville's block on promotions has collapsed and the stench of failure reeks around these clowns.

Trumpism is a dead end and only the zealots are loyal now. Trump being locked up will be more of a whimper than a roar to mark the end of his run. No one will miss him from the stage and his people will move on to the next moral outrage of the day.
