Amazing that they survived the plane crash and even more that they survived 40 days on their own.
With an 11 month old child, no less.
And people think children aren't able to make good decisions for themselves.
The eldest one was taught about survival in the forest and obviously paid attention.

Exactly! Teach a child what is in their interests, and they will learn. I mean that from a broad perspective. Like how I walked to school every year I went. Now, kids are not allowed to walk. Which wobbles my mind.
These kids can walk through the jungle for a month, but our kids can't walk to school.
