Ugh. I get it and I support them. But at the same time my tax return isn’t done yet and won’t be before the strike happens.

It's ridiculous that their contract expired in October 2021 and the 2 sides haven't worked out anything yet.

I have a tendency to be a procrastinator about many things but this year, since we had all our receipts etc by the end of February, we got our tax filing done mid March and had our refunds in 10 days.

E filed and got my return in barely more than a week.

And not like they didn't have years to think about the contract. Could be worse, they ask for a 13% and a Tory gov't would make a final offer of 2%

Hopefully it won't last too long.

PSAC is demanding a 13.5 per cent pay increase over three years (4.5 per cent annually). Some bargaining units are asking for more than that. For example, tax agency workers want a pay bump of 22.5 per cent.

The Treasury Board Secretariat, the government department that is nominally the employer of bureaucrats, has offered nine per cent over three years.

Better than me. I haven’t filed yet and I can’t, because I file jointly with my wife and she can’t file because someone tried to file a claim for her. So he claim was flagged and now she has to go through a ton of hoops to prove that she is who she is. I know the filling deadline is at the end of the month so I don’t know what happens if we don’t get this sorted out by then.

^^ whole lot of hot air.

How can the PM say no to a raise when he proposed to raise Judges and Members of Parliament pay. Judges and MP’s are on the same pay grade.

Accordin to today's National Post, they're just "entitled union workers" that should be ordered back to work.
It's not a right to strike, it's just an entitlement only a despot King would claim.
